PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of an HMA Drum Plant. This plant could operate 2 shifts to supply paving operations, so candidates must be able to work nights as well as weekends
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Safe operation of an HMA drum plant and safe loadout of trucks.
- Compliance with company safety standards and related paperwork.
- Repair and maintenance of plant components.
- Compliance and monitoring of site environmental requirements.
- Ability to perform truck ticketing and related paperwork
QUALIFICATIONS
- Comprehensive operational knowledge of a HMA Drum plant system.
- Plant operates both day and night, must be able to work nights.
- Thorough understanding and compliance with company safety policies.
- Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Mechanical competence.
- Capacity to work well with customers, management, and fellow employees.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Capability to complete required paperwork in a timely fashion.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment in designated operations and construction areas as outlined by OSHA, MSHA, and state agencies. Protective equipment that may be required, but not limited to, for this position: Hardhat, safety glasses, face shield, welding helmet, reinforced toed shoes, hand protection, respirator, air monitor, reflective safety vest.
