Job Description
- Develop and execute strategies to increase payments volume and secure long-term revenue with Key Issuers, other key partnerships
- Collaborate with peers and partners to build commercial solutions
- Focus on driving new purchase volume and revenue with Visa commercial issuers across all groups, which entails securing targeted opportunities in the public & private sectors in alignment and partnership with financial institution partners
- Develop and support strategies to capitalize on emerging customer needs and marketplace trends across identified SSA initiatives and on allocated portfolios.
- Collaborate with Visa Business Solutions Hub team on new product development, technology, innovation initiatives, industry events and promotions
- Contribute to the annual business and account plan for the assigned clients, agreeing with matrixed stakeholders required actions and deliverables in close collaboration with the Country Manager and the respective Issuer Account Executives
- Demonstrate a good knowledge of the Visa products and services, with experienced knowledge in, commercial solutions and broad knowledge of consumer, loyalty, merchant and acceptance, e-com, digital
- Engages with colleagues across Visa, ensuring relevant teams are appropriately involved, informed and coordinated
- Develop and ensure implementation of annual goals and plans
- Utilize a consultative sales approach that ensures that the client’s business objectives are met and their performance metrics are optimized
- Analyze business opportunities to increase volume and share implementing both short and long term strategies and tactics to increase profitability
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
A minimum of 10 to15 years experience with related business development and product management experience in financial technology and,or payments industry, specific small business segment experience preferredPast or current work experience with a minimum of 4 to 6 years in Commercial Card Issuing and Acquiring, Transaction Banking Solutions, SME banking preferred
An Africa mindset with demonstrated success aligning stakeholders in multiple countries
Proven record of implementing strategic initiatives
Demonstrated track record of planning, managing and closing a complex, competitive sales effort and managing deals from negotiation, to closing and through delivery
Teamwork, interpersonal and relationship building skills, and ability to lead by influence and example
Experience in managing up, building management Level communications and delivering presentations
Ability to work within a complex and often ambiguous environment, and to influence senior management and other relevant parties
Product management subject matter expert with experience in developing and deploying go to market strategy for payment solutions or technology a plus
Demonstrated experience in selling complex solutions or B2B product consulting
Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills
Confidence and ability to effectively build and deliver presentations to all audiences up to the executive levels
Bachelors degree required. MBA, Masters is an advantage
Executive presence, Strong written and oral communication in English and French, including large group presentations
Travel as required, aligned to business priorities and objectives.
