The internship for the Office of Advising and Enrollment is a part-time nine-month academic year appointment. The student intern will work approximately 20 hours per week. Supervision is provided by the Director of Academic Advising and Enrollment Services
· Outreach to incoming students via email, phone, and text message to remind them of their deadlines to complete Knowledge Assessment.
· Become a resource to students in the knowledge assessment process and Ed Ready including helping students find a place to take the assessment on campus, assisting with loading or providing the correct math pathway based on program, and providing information on the score needed to take college level English or Math.
· Provide outreach to newly applied students giving them a warm welcome to Ivy Tech and directing them on how to get in touch with their Student Support Professional.
· Utilize reports provided to determine which students will need a reminder communication on completing the Knowledge Assessment.
· Utilize reports provided to determine which students have completed the Knowledge Assessment and are ready to schedule an appointment with their Student Support Professional.
· Schedule student appointments with the appropriate Student Support Professional or Academic Advisor.
