Summary

As a Career & Internal Mobility Architect at Hummingbird, you will design and implement sustainable programs that enable career growth for our team members. Your work will include developing structured career paths, facilitating professional development, and evolving performance management processes to drive employee success. This role is key to fostering a culture of continuous growth and creating tools to empower employees to navigate their careers.

Responsibilities

Compensation: Starting at $113,000 + based on experience.

Benefits Eligible: Yes.

Travel: 2-3 trips per year for client visits, training, and company events.

Working Hours: Flexible.

Work Location: This position is remote. You must work from a location within the United States with consistent internet service.

Career Path Program Development

  • Develop tools and frameworks for structured career paths, providing clear trajectories for skill development, advancement, and promotions.

  • Partner with functional leaders and guide and support them in defining, implementing, and aligning career paths within their areas, while ensuring consistency across teams and business units.

  • Create and manage a competency taxonomy that supports standardized growth frameworks and enables cross-functional career pathways.  

  • Establish success metrics for career path programs, focusing on internal promotions, cross-functional mobility, and employee satisfaction.

Career Development Education & Advocacy

  • Guide leadership in identifying and addressing opportunities to increase career path offerings.

  • Design and promote accessible self-service tools and resources that empower employees to explore career opportunities and navigate their career paths with confidence.

  • Collaborate with managers and leaders to uncover career growth potential within their teams, offering guidance on meaningful career conversations and effective use of development resources.

  • Develop and maintain a career coaching framework, including toolkits, guides, and best practices, to enable effective and constructive career growth conversations between managers and employees.

  • Lead training sessions and workshops that equip employees to navigate their careers and empower managers to integrate career growth initiatives into their leadership practices.

Performance Management Integration

  • Partner with the Performance Management owner to ensure a growth-focused performance review framework and process is enabled company-wide.

  • Work with leaders to integrate competency-based evaluations into performance management tools.

  • Design processes that provide managers with actionable insights to support team member development.

  • Facilitate ongoing evaluation and optimization of performance management processes.

Workday Tools & Accessibility

  • Partner with the Workday team to ensure tools for navigating career paths and job catalogs are accessible, engaging, and intuitive.

  • Guide the design, implementation, rollout, and optimization of Workday tools used to track skills, certifications, competencies, and employee potential.

  • Support the implementation of talent reviews and identify other tools and processes to aid in career exploration and assessing potential.
