Aircraft Cleaners - Gatwick Airport

Aviation Recruitment Experts Optime are seeking an experienced Aircraft Cleaners to join a respected team at Gatwick Airport for the upcoming summer season.

What's on offer:

• Rate of pay: £14.77 per hour
• Shift pattern: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
• Weekly pay (Every Friday)
• Full training provided
• Temp to Perm (performance-based)

Confirmed training dates:

• March 2025
• April 2025

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean aircraft interiors including seats, windows, and tray tables to ensure the cabin is ready for passengers
• Ensure cleanliness and safety standards are maintained throughout the cabin and aircraft compartments
• Remove any rubbish or unwanted items from the aircraft
• Replenish necessary supplies (e.g., blankets, pillows, magazines) for each flight
• Ensure that the aircraft is cleaned to a high standard in accordance with airline protocols
• Work efficiently and safely to meet tight turnaround times between flights
• Be flexible in responding to additional cleaning needs when required

Shifts:

The Airport is operational 7 days per week and candidates will be working on a 4 on 3 off rolling rota and you will need to be fully flexible with the days and hours you can work. Please note, your shifts can start as early as 03:00am. This could be subject to change!

An example of the shift hours:

4 on 3 off rolling (Days):

• Thursday: 0500-1430
• Friday: 0500-1130
• Saturday: 0900-1500
• Sunday: 0900-1500 or 1600-2000
• Monday: OFF
• Tuesday: OFF
• Wednesday: OFF

Requirements:

• Valid Passport or Driving Licence /Birth Certificate or National ID card.
• This role requires you to stand for long periods of time (6-8 hours).
• UK Settled Status (If applicable)
• Proof of National Insurance
• Proof of (current) Address
• 5 Year Address History
• 5 Year Work Reference History
• Successful candidates will be required to complete a basic criminal record check following the interview in line with CAA requirements.

PLEASE NOTE: As this position is in the aviation industry, successful applicants must be able to provide 5-year checkable history.
