We're seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer Manager to join our dynamic Interiors team. In this pivotal role, you'll lead multiple design engineering teams in the development, testing, and production of cutting-edge Aircraft Commercial Seating (ACS) products. You'll be instrumental in driving engineering excellence, ensuring our products meet stringent regulatory, safety, quality, and design standards.
What you will do:
- Lead and mentor multiple design engineering teams, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality output.
- Develop and refine engineering processes to meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project completion and achieve business objectives.
- Monitor and manage project cost, schedule, and technical performance, addressing risks proactively.
- Oversee resource forecasting to align team capacity with business needs.
- Implement project management principles, ensuring activities are well-planned and risks are mitigated.
- Utilize visual management techniques to monitor program progress and escalate issues as needed.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving best practices and lessons learned across product development cycles.
- Provide coaching and conflict resolution to maintain high performance within the team.
