JOB DESCRIPTION:
Summary/Objective
The Warehouse/Material Handler is responsible for packaging and preparation of materials for shipment, loading and unloading trucks, stocking of material in the warehouse, receiving items and the delivery of items to the production area.
Essential Functions

- Skilled in and able to effectively process/transact the following warehouse functions:
- Line feeding
- Picking
- Receiving
- Understand the receiving process and how to store customer and in-house material
- Complete receiving reports accurately
- Understand how to read “pick” lists and be able to select and transact correct material in support of shipping and production requirements
- Possess working knowledge of forklift operation
- Assist and train others as needed
- Versed in safety protocols of a manufacturing facility
- Demonstrate functional knowledge of SAP system
- Must understand and support all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies.
- Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations.
- Must understand, support and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions.
- Must understand and support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the goal tree.
Skills and Competencies
- Technical Capacity
- Ability to become forklift certified
- Electric pallet-jack operation
- Must be conversant in English
- Computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office
- Knowledge/understanding of property descriptions.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
The employee will be exposed to shop floor conditions, i.e. noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt etc. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Physical Demands
- Capable of standing on hard surfaces up to eight hours per day
- Able to lift 50 pounds, with ease
- Able to carry 50 pounds without assistance, 25 feet
- Able to lift from waist to overhead, 50 pounds using both hands
- Ability to work in manufacturing environment, which can expose one to loud noises, dust, chemicals and varying temperatures
- Ability to reach, grasp, handle and manipulate items with hands
- Ability to walk, bend, climb, twist, stoop, and squat
- Ability to wear and use proper personal protective equipment; safety glasses, face shield, gloves, ear plugs, or earmuffs and steel-toed safety compliant footwear.
