The Senior Tax Compliance and Accounting Specialist is responsible for ensuring the organization’s corporate tax obligations are met accurately and on time while maintaining full compliance with local, regional, and international tax regulations. In addition, performing the accounting for taxes ensures that these obligations are timely and accurately reported. This role combines expertise in taxation, accounting, and regulatory reporting to support strategic financial decision-making and minimize tax risks.

 

THE ROLE AND YOUR IMPACT

Corporate Tax Compliance:

  • Prepare, review, and file all corporate (and related) tax returns in accordance with applicable deadlines with assistance by 3rd party compliance providers and ensure timely payments;
  • Liaise with tax authorities, external auditors, and the Dott Finance team during audits and tax reviews while mitigating risks and exposures;
  • Support preparation of transfer pricing documentation and execution of the transfer pricing model to ensure timely and accurately reporting of charges
  • Ensure 100% compliance with tax laws and maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax legislation.
  • Prepare quarterly tax compliance and reporting dashboard for management purposes;

Accounting & Reporting:

  • Manage statutory and consolidated tax reporting under local GAAP and IFRS, prepare reconciliations and documentation for internal and external audits in close cooperation with Dott finance team;
  • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring corporate tax accounts are accurately reconciled;
  • Record and analyze tax-related journal entries in the general ledger;
  • Provide tax support for preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (local GAAP and IFRS).
  • Collaborate with Dott finance team to ensure accuracy of tax provisions and deferred tax calculations incl application of recognition principles.
  • Provide finance support to the Dott Finance team on continuous improvement and other projects when requested
  • Primary contact for external auditors for local GAAP and IFRS Group accounts regarding tax accounting and reporting matters

Advisory & Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process automation and improved compliance efficiency;
  • Participate in system upgrades and digitalization projects related to accounting or tax reporting.

 

YOU’LL FIT GREAT WITH THESE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (Master’s degree or CPA/CA qualification preferred).
  • Certifications: Professional accounting certification required (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA, CTA or equivalent) with at least 5 years experience in tax accounting under local GAAP and IFRS

Experience: 3–7 years of experience in corporate tax, accounting, or audit, preferably within a multinational or public accounting environment. Consolidation experience is a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Project Management skills that drive continuous improvement and collaboration
  • Basic knowledge of local and international tax regulations
  • Expert knowledge of tax compliance processes and experienced with managing 3rd party compliance providers
  • Expert knowledge of IFRS tax accounting (US GAAP background also possible)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting and ERP systems (preferably Netsuite).
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Demonstrates team player behavior – with strong ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines<
