Lawrence Doors, Inc., a leader in the commercial door industry, and a part of Amarr / ASSA ABLOY Group (the global leader in opening solutions) is looking for an experienced Shipping and Receiving Lead for our Baldwin Park Factory. Willingness to work overtime a must. The Shipping and Receiving Lead oversees logistics operations, ensuring efficient movement of goods, training staff, and maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Shipping and Receiving Operations: Oversee all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of goods.
- Team Leadership: Train and supervise shipping and receiving staff, acting as a liaison between management and the team.
- Quality Control: Perform quality checks on outgoing shipments to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate shipping records, including packing lists and bills of lading (BOL), ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production teams, customer service, and logistics partners to coordinate shipment statuses and resolve discrepancies.
- Inventory Management: Record all activities in the inventory management system, updating stock levels as necessary.
- Safety and Efficiency: Adhere to safety regulations and best practices in all activities, operating material handling equipment safely.
