Position Summary The Planner/Buyer for 3rd party operations will lead planning activities for externally manufactured and packaged finished goods. The position will also be responsible for inventory management for 3rd party product families, as well as minimizing obsolescence through effective planning, in accordance with established stocking level guidelines. The position will work closely with cross functional teams, including but not limited to, Commercial Operations and Quality Assurance to ensure optimal inventory levels. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide updated forecasts at the beginning of each month to external manufacturing and packaging partners.
- Create and submit Purchase Orders for finished goods, associated raw materials and componentry.
- Lead Supply Chain meetings with external partners.
- Work with cross-functional teams to coordinate external manufacturing product launches.
- Coordinate shipments with logistics team.
- Work with Commercial Operations to review bids.
- Update SOPs, initiate change controls and write investigations, as needed.
- Possesses thorough analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Demonstrates the ability to manage conflicting priorities
- Executes assigned tasks within established schedules
- Collaborative with excellent written and oral communication skills
