Job Description

We are looking for a Geographic Information Systems Analyst (GIS Analyst) to join our growing team! As a GIS Analyst in the Broadband Grant Office, you will be responsible for working on the spatial requirements associated with state and federal broadband grant programs across our 20-state serving area. You will work closely with colleagues in the legal department and teams across the business in a highly collaborative environment as you implement, advise, and develop processes to assist with broadband grant programs. 

As a Geographic Information Systems Analyst, your roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Provide spatial support to legal, mass markets, wholesale, and operations
  • Assist with state and federal grant applications
  • Assist with state and federal regulatory filings
  • Conduct analysis of company service areas and potential areas of expansion
  • Create shapefiles, KMZs, and other spatial data
  • Automate and document spatial processes

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, or equivalent practical work experience
  • Demonstrated experience with GIS software such as ArcGIS Pro and QGIS
  • Exceptional organization and problem solving skills
  • Eager to learn and be a part of something new
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to express and articulate your ideas and thoughts via written and oral communication

BONUS POINTS FOR:

  • Experience with Alteryx
  • Prior experience as a GIS Technician
