The University of Washington’s Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Division of Rehabilitation Psychology & Neuropsychology, is seeking a clinical psychologist for appointment at the rank of Professor on the Clinical Practice Track. Full-/part-time status is negotiable. Please be advised that part-time positions are not eligible for visa sponsorship or permanent residence sponsorship by the University of Washington.

The position is available beginning in Summer 2025; a specific start date is negotiable.

In addition to clinical work, teaching is integral to all Clinical Practice positions. The initial appointment period will be three years, at a minimum, with eligibility for renewal thereafter. Faculty on the clinical practice track hold multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Clinical Practice track appointments are not eligible for tenure.

Responsibilities will include serving as Psychology Clinic Director at UW Medicine-NW Campus Multiple Sclerosis Center (MS Center), as well as service at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (FHCC) providing direct clinical services to individuals referred for rehabilitation psychology services. The successful candidate will manage behavioral health issues including mental health diagnoses (e.g., depression, anxiety, adjustment disorder), health conditions (e.g., pain, cognition), and engagement in medical treatment (e.g., motivation, behavioral change) and also will provide psychoeducation related to diagnosis/treatment impacts on health and wellbeing. Additionally, the successful candidate will provide individual therapy, neurocognitive testing, group psychoeducational sessions for patients and leverage telehealth to broaden access, including by offering group-based skills, self-management, and coping classes. The work requires participation in multidisciplinary cognitive rehabilitation rounds with other providers involved in our patients' care. Other duties include overseeing MS Clinic Psychology services and work with the management team and other providers to maximize access and care for patients. Opportunities are available for mentoring and/or supervising practicum students and trainees primarily in the clinical context.

COMPENSATION

The base salary range for this position will be: Professor of Clinical Practice $12,500 - $17,204 per month ($150,000 - $210,577 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.

Other compensation associated with this position may include any of the following: incentive through UW Physicians (UWP), moving allowance, relocation incentive.
