Purpose of Role

Senior Manager, Accounting APAC
The Sr. Manager, Accounting - APAC will manage all accounting activities to ensure compliance with Under Armour accounting principles, corporate policies and external audits. This includes, but is not limited to, management of accounts payable processes, cash flow processes, and monthly closing of accounts and preparation of reports in support of final financial statements. This role is based in Hong Kong and will report to and work closely with the Director, Regional Controller – APAC. Cross-functional partnership with others in the organization is critical in this role in analysis and reconciliation of accounts, and in development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures and controls. The ideal candidate possesses leadership capabilities, solid operational and technical accounting background and works proactively to drive results.

Sr. Manager, Accounting
Under Armour Europe is seeking a Senior Manager Accounting to join its Finance team based in Amsterdam. This position serves as a critical accounting role who will supervise the EMEA Accounting Team through the monthly and quarterly close process. Additionally, the manager will lead and coordinate with the team through compliance with various internal reporting and analyses while ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements and US GAAP, SEC standards and Sarbanes Oxley.  This role will have direct oversight over the general accounting team in EMEA.

Sr. Manager, Accounting – Americas
Support accounting and finance teams in our Americas region as Senior Manager, Accounting - Americas, in Baltimore overseeing the monthly accounting close process within region, while adhering to the main pillars of Under Armour.
 

Your Impact

Senior Manager, Accounting APAC

  • Lead accounting transformation initiatives including robotics process automation, close efficiency and enhanced partnerships with software providers
  • Advocate for and support global accounting IT projects 
  • Perform accounting research related to emerging issues impacting to business and memorialize findings in accounting white papers and memorandums
  • Oversees end to end ownership of significant accounting processes to ensure consistent and accurate results
  • Effectively communicate monthly results
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses for and/or provide information to and advise, as appropriate, other accounting and finance teammates and key stakeholders
  • Develop and coaches a team of inspired teammates
  • Work closely with FP&A partners to review actuals and develop detailed accurate forecasts
  • Develop and maintains strong partnerships with Key Stakeholders to facilitate and maintain consistent and accurate financial data

Sr. Manager, Accounting

  • Oversee the daily accounting operations, including execution of operational accounting policy and general ledger responsibilities in adherence to Under Armour policies and US GAAP
  • Manage the monthly financial close process, ensuring financial results are complete, prepared, materially correct and reported to executive management 
  • Perform accounting functions as assigned, including, but not limited to, bookkeeping, reviewing of financial information, preparing and posting journal entries, and preparing account reconciliations 
  • Responsible for supervising the annual account preparation and various audit inquiries
  • Overview and manage relationship with the external advisors
  • Collaborate with business partners to support new initiatives such as new markets entry and launch of new product lines
