This is a grant-funded position and is contingent on availability of funds.

 

Position Purpose

The Coordinator of Emergent Bilingual Programs and Supports is responsible for supporting the implementation, monitoring, and compliance of bilingual education programs and services for Emergent Bilingual (EB) students across assigned campuses. This role ensures that campus-level systems for student identification, placement, and program services are executed accurately and in alignment with all federal, state, and district requirements and expectations, including maintaining implementation fidelity of Dual Language programs.

In close collaboration with campus leadership, the Student Placement Center, and Curriculum & Instruction departments�including Assessment, Analytics, Reporting, and Accountability, Core Content, and Specialized Learning�the Coordinator supports consistent program implementation and monitoring across campuses. The role provides training and guidance on LPAC processes, program requirements, and certification expectations, while working directly with campus leaders to ensure program fidelity, compliance with federal, state, and district requirements and expectations, and access to grade-level content for Emergent Bilingual students.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Supports the implementation and compliance of bilingual education programs and services for Emergent Bilingual (EB) students across PK�12 campuses, ensuring alignment with all federal, state, and district requirements and expectations.
  • Monitors processes for student identification, placement, and service provision for Emergent Bilingual students, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in coordination with the Student Placement Center.
  • Supports family engagement and wraparound efforts for Emergent Bilingual students and families, including communication and outreach to promote understanding of program services and support student retention.
  • Supports and monitors LPAC systems across campuses, including training, documentation, and compliance, ensuring accurate student identification, placement decisions, parent communication, and adherence to required procedures.
  • Supports and monitors the implementation fidelity of bilingual education program models, including Dual Language programs, ensuring consistency with district expectations across campuses.
  • Supports program monitoring, reporting, and evaluation of Emergent Bilingual programs in collaboration with Assessment, Analytics, Reporting, and Accountability, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with district expectations.
  • Provides training and ongoing support to campus staff on bilingual program requirements, LPAC processes, and implementation expectations.
  • Supports teachers on the annual Bilingual and ESL Waiver in collaboration with Talent Management, monitoring progress towards certification attainment and providing guidance as needed.
  • Collaborates with Curriculum & Instruction departments�including Core Content and Specialized Learning�to support access to grade-level content and appropriate language supports for Emergent Bilingual students.
  • Works in collaboration with School Leadership regions to conduct campus reviews of program implementation, identify gaps, and support consistent implementation, program fidelity, and compliance with all federal, state, and district requirements and expectations, under the direction of the Director.
  • Supports translation and interpretation services to ensure equitable access to information and services for families.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in scheduling and availability, including extended or adjusted work hours during peak compliance periods, monitoring cycles, and critical deadlines, to ensure timely and accurate execution of responsibilities.

  • Performs preventive maintenance on tools and equipment and ensures equipment is in safe operating condition.
