Wealth Management Operations
Global Wealth Management Operations provides brokerage, investment and financial services to hundreds of thousands of individual investors. We apply our expertise in serving institutional clients to create new opportunities for people to achieve their personal financial goals. Morgan Stanley has one of the largest retail brokerage networks, with numerous worldwide representatives and retail locations. Our services are tailored to each client's investment objectives, risk tolerance, and financial needs. Products include mutual funds, stocks, bonds, and alternative investments where appropriate, as well as banking, mortgages, insurance and annuities.
We are seeking an experienced mortgage lending professional for the position of Vice President - Home Lending Loan Processing who will lead and oversee comprehensive support and assist in high-quality mortgage loan originations. Primary responsibilities include supervising the team, working directly with Senior Relationship Managers, Underwriting, internal partners, and third-party vendors to collect, analyze, document, and submit complete loan files to Underwriting for credit decisions. The Vice President/Manager will be required to ensure team meets specific client deadlines, display strong pipeline management skills, and maintain comprehensive loan notes and roadmaps. The individual will report to the department Executive Director. Primary Responsibilities
-Supervise the order services process including requesting, reviewing, and verifying loan processing documents such as title and insurance
-Ensure loan processing conditions within the loan operating system including insurance, collateral, disclosure, and title items are met
-Review title and insurance documents and determine if they meet Morgan Stanley guidelines
-Manage expectations, needed documentation, and timelines regarding lender side conditions, e.g. title, appraisal, HOI, interacting with internal and external business partners
-Monitor team pipeline and work with Mortgage Specialist, and other pertinent internal partners to ensure loan cycle times meet client expectations
-Oversee loan progress until loan is in closing to ensure documents are not expired
-Display leadership ability and drive to work independently to creatively and proactively problem solve and execute at a high level
Skills required
-~15 years of residential mortgage loan processing experience required
-Ability to motivate, guide, and manage a team to ensure tasks are completed effectively and efficiently
-Proven track record in quality loan production while maintaining a large client base
-Outstanding written, verbal, and analytical skills
-Ability to multi-task, prioritize and plan; effective time management skills to meet loan closing deadlines
-Ability to ensure that the site reflects the company's core values
-Must possess a superior customer service focus
-Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office products suite
-High school diploma or equivalent required
