Vattenfall is looking for a Team Lead to lead our project support team on its journey to a Fossil Free future in one Generation. Together we bring our sustainable projects to a succes. Are you going to lead our team into the Fossil Free future?
As a Team Lead Project Support you will contribute with your daily work to make the heat business fossil free within one generation!. The Project Support team is part of the department Project Excellence in the OU OU Heat Projects. OU Heat Projects is responsible for the development and construction of the heat and power generating assets and the heat grid within BA Heat. The current Project Support team consists of about 8 Project Support Officers and 2 Project Administrators within the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Sweden.
Your role / what will you do?
The goal of a Team Lead is to lead and manage the team successfully. On a daily base you interact with your team, you are the reference contact for their personal and professional development. The successful candidate is able to create an environment where the team members are encouraged to develop and express their full potential.
Being part of Project Excellence, the Team Lead Project Support promotes the best practices and standards developed within the organization. In this role, you are an ambassador of lean processes and seek for improvement opportunities.
The team lead role is expected to occupy approximately 50% of your time. Together we will determine how you allocate the remaining time among Project Support, Management, or Continuous Improvement activities.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- People development and professionalization: conduct regularly bilateral meeting and feedback talks (start/mid/end year), create training and development plan, be the direct contact for the team members regarding HR and competences related topics, enable a safe and positive environment for the team development.
- Team steering: lead regular team meetings, enhance/facilitate the exchange of information within the team, facilitate/lead competence work activities.
- Resource planning: optimize and allocate resources, steer on quality and set a clear direction to the team, monitor external resourcing.
- Process improvement: initiating, driving and implementating improvement initiatives

Your profile / who are you?
In this role interpersonal skills are highly important since you will be dealing with diverse teams and various stakeholders with different cultural backgrounds. The Team Lead we are looking for is a motivated, open person with a passion for sustainability.
As our Team Lead Project Support you will bring:
- A relevant bachelor degree
- Proficient command of one of the local languages (dutch, Swedish) and a good demand of English.
- 3-5 experience in leading teams
- Relevant working experience in project management
Next to this you bring:
- Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills (active listening, empathy, clear, effective)
- High degree of self-initiative, engagement and reliability
- Leadership skills (ability to develop and motivate other people, positive mind set, integrity)
