This role, based in Colorado Springs, CO, is essential in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position, and this role requires on-site work with no remote options.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a vital part of the Missile Defense System. It provides an essential operational platform that allows the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively manage networked sensors and weapon systems to meet global and regional mission objectives.
C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, delivering an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It serves as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to enhance overall performance. Additionally, C2BMC is a crucial component of all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities.
The position requires previous experience integrating various software components into a unified system.
Essential Functions:
- Implement, update, and maintain the C2BMC automation pipeline to enable automated execution of the C2BMC scenario without operator intervention
- Install and configure Linux and Windows hardware platforms from the operating system up to the C2BMC developed applications
- Document and verify all installation and configuration steps, providing the documentation to the customer
- Develop installation scripts to automate the system setup
- Create test plans and procedures for automated software integration tests; be responsible for execution, detailed data analysis, and preparing software test reports
- Coordinate the execution of automated and manual software integration tests to verify system operation
- Collaborate with software developers as needed to diagnose and identify root causes of problems discovered during software integration, and submit problem reports for errors
- Ensure implementation of all Information Assurance directives on the systems, including running IA scans
- Lead, assign tasks, and coordinate daily integration activities with other local team members
Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of experience, or a PhD and 1 year of experience; or 9 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
- A DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.) is required to start
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs are required, including non-standard work hours
- Must have experience with Linux Command Line
- Experience integrating applications on Windows and Unix/Linux pl
