Under the direction of a registered Occupational Therapist, utilizes Occupational Therapy skills to assist in treatment of referred patients of all age populations. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served and his or her ability level. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principals of growth and development and assess data reflective of the patients current status in relation to their age specific needs.
Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduate of an accredited program for COTA.
Licensure: Registered Certified Occupational Therapist license or eligible for license in the state of Georgia.
Experience: May be new graduate. Certification in physical agent modalities is preferred but not mandatory.
Skills: Must be knowledgeable in BLS CPR. Ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patients
needs appropriate for age group of patient served and patients level of ability. Also must be able to identify needs for and complete basic splinting.
