About the role

Wayfair’s Financial Operations team is seeking a Senior Analyst to join our Supplier Accounts Receivable team in Boston. The Supplier Accounts Receivable team is responsible for revenue management, invoicing, cash collection and application for all ancillary supplier service businesses (international freight forwarding, domestic warehousing, customs & brokerage, advertising, merchandising services), as well as direct customer service for our suppliers participating in these programs.

This position will be based in our Boston, MA office. All Boston based corporate employees work in the office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office at least 3 days per week and have the option to work remotely 2 days per week.

What You'll Do

  • Own the supplier support for the team, including oversight of inbound tickets, communications strategy and quality assurance of service model
  • Lead a group of analysts, supporting their role as an escalation point
  • Deliver valuable and timely reporting on the success of our supplier support workstreams, including close tracking of KPIs
  • Become fluent in the inner workings of our supplier services businesses, including their financial data flows
  • Ensure our suppliers and international supply chain customers are paying Wayfair accurately and on time
  • Assist in the launch of New Business Initiatives (NBIs) and help drive them to a scalable and sustainable state from a financial operations lens
  • Support the Accounting team with month- and quarter-end financial close, including any necessary SOX controls and reconciliations
  • Analyze large data sets and identify trends and actionable takeaways
  • Challenge the status quo of our current work streams and help to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains as we continue to scale
  • Comprehend and consistently apply company policies and procedures. Understand internal accounting processes, practices, SOX and internal controls necessary to safeguard company assets and minimize exposure

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Accounting, or other related subject
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Strong organization and planning skills (Project Management)
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Managing, training and motivating team members
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Flexible and able to handle ad hoc issues that may arise, including quick prioritization decisions
