Summary

YOUR APPLICATION IS STILL BEING CONSIDERED**Performs a variety of vegetation management activities by operating a tractor with large 10' wide /15' batwing mowers for routine mowing and brush management operations. Operates heavy equipment such as slope mower Β for brush management operations, bridge vegetation management and mowing of sight areas. Performs skilled manual labor in various duties such as removing fallen trees from roadway, cutting dead trees on right-of-way and removal of debris from roadsides. Assists in emergency or inclement weather operations; includes being available for extended hours or 12 hour shifts. Operates both anti-icing and removal equipment during snow and ice response on highways and bridges. Operates tandem and single axle dump trucks with trailers for hauling material and transporting equipment for maintenance and construction operations. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Examples of duties
Six months of related work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required upon entry to the position. Requires attainment of a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License within six (6) months of placement in the position.The physical demands for the essential functions involves bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, climbing, balancing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and grasping. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Walking for extended periods, treading rough terrain, working in close proximity to motoring traffic, and in natural environmental hazards. May be required to work outside normal scheduled work week; especially during inclement weather.
