Junior Accountant

Responsible for various accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, month end close, banking, payroll, sales taxes, fixed assets, Ad-hoc projects and other general office and support tasks within a team environment. .

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process, apply, and post customer cash receipts, refunds, adjustments, and write-offs.
• Process credit memos.
• Process vouchers, post invoices, maintain sales tax journals related to same.
• Track accrued expenses and taxes.
• Maintain banking records including reconciliation.
• Assist with preparing and posting payroll.
• Assist with preparing sales and use tax returns.
• Execute monthly and yearly accounting close procedures journal entries.
• Reconcile various P&L and Balance Sheet accounts.
• Support month-end and year-end close process.
• Ad-hoc projects as necessary.
• Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor.
• Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate Click Bond policies and procedures.
• Assist in maintaining clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas.
• Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and be detail oriented.

• Excellent communication skills able to convey information clearly and professionally across diverse teams, customers and stakeholders. Skilled in both written and verbal communication, with a collaborative mindset.
• Strong computer proficiency with skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel (intermediate or above).
• Numerical aptitude and analytical thinking, confident handling numerical data, calculating percentages and solving quantitative problems with accuracy.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and principles.
• Experience with accounting software is a plus: Epicor ERP, OnBase
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
• Must be able to multi-task and work well in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment.
• High level of accuracy and attention to details.
• Independent, fast learner that also works well in a team environment.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to communicate with external sources, i.e., customers, vendors, employees, and visitors in a professional manner.
• Ability to write and read English

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent 3-5 year’s work experience in accounting related functions.
