Job Description

Positions available at NBCUniversal Media, LLC (30 Rockefeller Plaza, East Building/21, New York, NY 10112) for Sr. Manager, Data Science with the following job duties:

  • Responsible for creating analytical solutions for one or more verticals of the Peacock Video Streaming Service including, but not limited to, recommender systems, automated marketing, personalized advertisement, commerce and revenue, optimization systems, and customer journey and CRM solutions.
  • Serve as a team expert in advanced statistical and machine learning methodologies and lead a team of data scientists to create analytical solutions for multiple business verticals.
  • Lead a team of data scientists in the development of analytical models using statistical machine learning and data mining methodologies.
  • Serve as the team expert in statistical inference, advanced statistical learning, Bayesian analysis, and other areas of mathematical statistics.
  • Drive the collection and manipulation of new data and the refinement of existing data sources.
  • Understand the difference between inferential and predictive models to apply methods in both areas.
  • Work with business stakeholders to define priorities, approaches, and business requirements for data science solutions.
  • Translate complex problems and solutions to all levels of the organization.
  • Drive innovation of the statistical and machine learning methodologies and tools used by the team.
  • May work remotely.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Requires a minimum of a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Data Science, Computer Vision and Image Processing, Computer Information Systems or a related quantitative field, and at least 6 years of experience in the job offered or in advanced analytics in industry or research.
  • Stated experience must include at least 6 years of experience in the following: experience in leading a team of data scientists or being a lead data scientist on large commercial projects; defining the direction for a project and selecting appropriate methods and tools; implementing scalable, distributed, and highly available systems using Cloud Platforms; using data visualization tools and techniques to deliver business insights and value; and data processing using SQL and PySpark.


We are offering a salary range of $195,000 per year to $215,000 per year, depending upon qualifications.
