Job Summary
The Manager Quality and Data Analytics provides day-to-day oversight to the quality/population health team. This position will provide detailed financial analysis on providers, procedures, payors as it pertains to the MVHS Medical Group. The Manager of Quality and Data Analytics will assist in the preparation of financial and statistical reporting.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Direct, prioritize and align all quality improvement initiatives to include obtaining, organizing, submitting, and evaluating quality data in compliance with program requirements.
- Accountable for ongoing and daily operations within the Medical Group Quality department.
- Design, develop, and implement effective strategies and programs throughout the health care setting focused on improving quality, patient experience, and population health outcomes and reducing the cost of patient care.
- Develop team priorities based in the Medical Group Quality Committee goals. Leads reviews of performance on payer Quality Incentive initiatives and VBP arrangements.
- Monitor the effectiveness of the department's activities and quality management programs across the health care setting and facilitates successful evaluation of health care quality standards in line with governance provided by external regulatory agencies, as well as by other entities.
- Anticipate and correct quality issues and data integrity in preparation for the annual MIPS submission in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Comply with all NCQA NY State PCMH/HEDIS/MIPS/payer contracting requirements.
- Play an active role in the continuing development of the quality infrastructure across the Medical Group. Ensure that resources are leveraged to maximize support and achievement of goals.
- Support division-wide standardization in targeted process improvement initiatives, and evaluate success through pre-established criteria.
- Collaborate with various departments across the organization to ensure data integrity and optimization of Epic applications as best practice within the industry. Work with IT, Revenue Cycle and Ambulatory to launch new applications/dashboards to increase the productivity, quality and efficiency of our providers.
- Work with the Director of Finance to create streamlined/standardized reporting for all financial reporting done within the medical group including: Business Cases, Pro Formas, Service Line planning and Operational review of sites, services or providers.
- Promote and role model a culture of service excellence and customer service within their functional area.
- Communicate ideas and goals clearly and is an effective listener. Ensure that information is effectively communicated and shared throughout the department.
- With the Director and Human Resources guidance, provides input to or makes recommendations on employee hires, performance reviews, transfers, promotions, salary changes, disciplinary actions, terminations and similar actions. Resolves grievances and other staff problems in a fair, timely and consistent manner also in conjunction with Human Resources.
- Provide and encourage effective coaching and constructive feedback.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Requirements
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's in Healthcare Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3 years of experience in healthcare quality management.
- Knowledge of Epic EMR system.
PREFERRED:
- Master’s in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration
