We seek Senior Hydrologist | Dam Operator Safety Training: Fundamentals, Inspection, Monitoring & Field Practicum [DOI0017016] candidates with relevant Government And Public Services Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Government And Public Services Sector Clients such as DOI. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - Senior Hydrologist | Dam Operator Safety Training: Fundamentals, Inspection, Monitoring & Field Practicum [DOI0017016]

• Provides instruction on hydrologic principles and dam operations related to water levels, inflows, and releases. Develops course modules on flood routing, instrumentation data interpretation, and operational safety procedures. Coordinates hydrologic aspects of field training.  Translates hydrology into operational decisions—levels, inflows, and safe releases operators manage daily. Teach reservoir operations basics, inflow/outflow monitoring, flood routing concepts; develop practical gate operation scenarios for classroom; advise on instrumentation readings related to hydrology.

Qualifications

10+ years hydrology/reservoir operations; experience with federal water projects; prior training or exercise design experience.

• BS in Hydrology/Civil/Water Resources; MS preferred; PE/H&H certification desirable.
