Job Summary
Join the team at Tatiana by Kwame Onwuachi, one of NYC’s most acclaimed dining destinations, where vibrant Afro-Caribbean flavors meet the energy of Lincoln Center. As Restaurant Manager, you’ll bring hospitality to life on the dining room floor, leading service with precision, passion, and deep wine expertise. From curating exceptional wine pairings to guiding a union team through seamless service, you’ll help deliver unforgettable guest experiences that embody the spirit of Tatiana.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth, polished service aligned with Tatiana’s high standards.
- Champion an innovative wine and beverage program, engaging guests with thoughtful recommendations and pairings that elevate the cuisine.
- Lead and mentor the service team, ensuring compliance with union rules and fostering a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Run the floor during service, anticipating guest needs and ensuring every table receives attentive, personalized hospitality.
- Collaborate with culinary and management teams to maintain exceptional food and beverage quality and consistency.
- Build strong relationships with guests, team members, and leadership to support Tatiana’s reputation as a must-visit NYC restaurant.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree or higher preferred.
- 2-4 years of fine dining restaurant management experience required, preferably in NYC.
- Comprehensive food and wine knowledge, with the ability to recommend and discuss pairings confidently.
- Experience managing operations in a unionized environment.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in MS Office.
- ServSafe Certification preferred.
- Wine certification (e.g., WSET, CMS) a plus.
