The opportunity

Working closely with key US Generics and Order To Cash (O2C), Product Portfolio, Marketing and Sales teams, the Director, US Commercial IT, will have primary responsibility for the delivery of IT Services in support of the US Commercial organization. This leader will be accountable for enabling success for the Teva US organization via identifying, driving prioritization and monitoring the successful development of solutions.  Strong familiarity with O2C processes will be required.  Expert knowledge of the SAP SD module is strongly desired. This role will have an emphasis on driving the integration/adoption of IT enterprise standards (e.g. SAP) as well as innovative best in class solutions and strategies.  This position will collaborate and coordinate with other key members of the Global IT organization.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Develop Business Relationships:  Create effective relationships with business stakeholders to ensure expectation management and alignment of team priorities with the business.  
  • Create Value: Work with the business and IT management to identify areas of opportunity/need, and then develop them into initiatives that deliver measurable value.  Apply industry best practice thinking, waterfall and agile methodologies, and other innovation/continuous improvement techniques to make measurable improvements to our business.
  • IT Improvement and Innovation:  As an IT Leader, the incumbent is expected to contribute independent ideas, proposals, and projects for improving the efficiency, effectiveness, and value of IT at Teva. 
  • Business Analysis: Understand the business. Work with your stakeholders to understand the business and document ‘as-is’ business processes, understanding dependencies on upstream processes/groups and impacts on downstream processes/groups. For new initiatives, develop ‘to-be’ process flows to facilitate business understanding and requirement definition. Influence and help business manage through Change related to IT initiatives. 
  • Sustain Operations: Support the business stakeholders in their day-to-day operations providing the highest levels of service and maintaining a stable operating environment. Coordinate with offshore development, infrastructure, IT Security and other internal, IT support functions to maintain system stability while minimizing business impact of routine and non-routine IT maintenance activities.
  • Project Management: Serve as Project Manager for initiatives. Responsible for developing project-related deliverables as needed, e.g. project plan, resource plan, status reports, issue escalations etc. as appropriate for size and complexity of efforts.
  • Follow Teva Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures. 
  • Other projects and duties as required / assigned

Your experience and qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent required
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years’ IT and Business work experience with at least 8 years’ experience in one or more areas of US Pharma Commercial IT.
  • Strong understanding of O2C processes
  • Strong understanding of US Product Launch and Portfolio management functions
  • Strong understanding of US Sales landscape for Branded, Biosimilars and Generics
  • SAP training and, applicable certification preferred
  • Strong Understanding of SAP integration points and other critical enterprise systems
  • Background in delivering data driven solutions to inform decision making is strongly preferred 
  • Exposure to leveraging automation and AI/ML capabilities to achieve specific goals and outcomes is preferred 
  • Experience working with offshore teams a major plus
  • Background and experience with Computer Systems Validation and System Development Lifecycle methodologies 
  • Project and Program management experience
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Experience with MS Project and MS Visio or similar preferred
