Manufacturing Quality Control Inspector - Avionics

Reporting to the Supervisor of Quality for Manufacturing, the Quality Control Inspector is responsible for assuring the quality of manufactured avionics products by performing inspections, checks, and tests for complete Quality Control.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs inspections, checks, and tests for Quality Control
- Final Inspection of Manufactured Product (Circuit Card Assemblies / Line Replicable Units)
- In-process Assembly and Sub-Assembly inspections
- Pre-shipment conformity verification
- There is an expectation that certain Quality workstations will require extended use of microscope (20X)
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
Competency
Assist in driving total Quality across all production. Ensuring Business Management System requirements are met.

Education and/or Experience
- Minimum three (3) years related experience required
- High School diploma or equivalent required
Computer Skills
The individual should be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Proficiency with email, internet and intranet is expected.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before large groups of customer, vendors, or employees.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Preferred Qualification
Current or previous IPC-A-610 certification and circuit card assembly inspection.
Work Environment
This is an electronic assembly environment that involves no unusual physical risks or hazardous conditions. The type of equipment that must be used includes but is not limited to electronic diagnostic equipment and Automated Inspection Equipment. Protective eyewear and/or smocks are required in this work environment. Electrostatic (ESD) precautions must be taken in this work environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
