The Job:
Come join our highly ranked operation within Stanley Black & Decker as a Maintenance and Facilities Manager. This 1st shift opportunity, which runs Monday-Friday, 5:45am-3:00pm, with rare Saturday hours, is a perfect opportunity to join a well-run maintenance operation and enjoy a reasonable work-life balance. This opportunity exists due to internal promotional movement of the previous manager.
As a Maintenance and Facilities Manager, you’ll be part of our Willard team working as an onsite employee. You’ll get to:
- Ensure that the safety of personnel, across all shifts, is prioritized.
- Assist with the development, implementation, & sustainment of safety policies and procedures.
- Supervise all planned and unplanned maintenance activities related to the repair of plant and facilities equipment.
- Establish preventative and predictive maintenance methods to reduce unscheduled downtime.
- Plan and recommend future equipment and facility requirements.
- Coordinate work with outside vendors/contractors to assist with maintenance activities and improvement projects.
- Manage appropriate spare parts inventory levels for critical machinery.
- Track plant and departmental metrics. Perform root cause analysis, develop action plans, and drive implementation to improve lagging metrics.
- Support plant improvement activities through regular participation in the Tiered Communication system, Gemba Walks, 5S Audits, and Process Effectiveness Audits.
- Handle maintenance personnel matters such as safety concerns, vacation, disciplinary actions, timekeeping, training, scheduled wage increases, and performance evaluations.
- Assist in the selection and development of maintenance personnel.
- Identify training and educational needs and assist in implementation of these programs.
- Maintain safety, quality and production standards following all ISO and Company pro.

- A strong understanding of electrical, robotic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, NEC Standards, and the Fire Code.
- Ability to develop and implement ISO standards and write policies and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Ability to work additional hours as needed (i.e. different shifts, weekends, and plant shutdown periods).
