About the role

TRP Construction Group, LLC with locations in Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, is a rapidly growing striping company with career advancement opportunities. TRP is seeking a Certified Automotive Diesel Mechanic to become part of our highway striping team, and to share our core values of increasing road safety of the traveling public and delivering the highest level of precision and excellence. TRP Construction Group, LLC will conduct Background Check, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and Controlled Substance testing prior to hire.

We are looking for a mechanic, who has worked as a service technician, inspects, maintains, and repairs vehicles and other machinery. Has used diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and experience identifying problems and perform repairs. This Position also requires other duties included in responsibilities.

Requirements

Identify problems: Use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues

Plan work: Use technical manuals and experience to plan procedures

Perform maintenance: Change oil, check fluid levels, rotate tires, and lubricate equipment

Repair parts: Replace or repair worn parts like brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors

Perform major repairs: Replace transmissions, and repair electrical systems

Advise Management: Explain problems and repairs to Supervisor/Management and or Foreman’s.

Maintain records: Keep track of time, parts, and materials used

Operate equipment: Use automotive shop equipment and hand tools skills

Operate Skid Steer: for maintaining property, loading and unloading material and or equipment.

Physical strength: Perform lifting and carrying up to 100 lbs., anything over 100 lbs. must require the use of two people or skid steer.

Shop: Cleanliness, keep maintained and organized, including Conex’s and material storage areas and Office.

  • Performing test drives to check repairs
  • Carrying out scheduled service and maintenance
  • Keep up with receipts and use app to upload photos and code into the system
  • Installing and fitting new vehicle accessories
  • Fabrication and welding along with refurbishing old equipment.

Other Duties if no Mechanic work is required at the time.

Occasional work on road crews

·         Drive TMA’s

·         Make Deliveries and pickups

·         Any and all other job duties specified by Management to include working out of town on extended projects. (Required)

Availability

Day to day: Monday-Friday and occasional weekends unless on the road with a crew. 6:00am to 2:30pm with a 15-minute break at 8am &1pm. 30-minute lunch from 11:00am to 11:30am, while working at the shop.
