Project Development and Execution Director

SUMMARY
The Project Development and Execution Director focuses on organizational strategy and portfolio project management initiatives that drive business goals and objectives. Leads the design and execution of the operating group’s portfolio of projects. Works in partnership with the operating group executive team, other senior leaders across the organization, IT and the QI with focus on strategic planning, project leadership, project execution, process implementation guidance and data research & analysis related to these projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below:

• Works with stakeholders to develop project plans and ensure all activities required for successful and timely completion.
• Oversees planning and implementation guidance of the projects portfolio, facilitates prioritization, and ensures alignment with strategic objectives.
• Partners with operating group leadership team and the business to define, build and launch scalable and sustainable solutions.
• Assembles appropriate discipline staff, IT partners, and subject matter experts onto project teams.
• Works with appropriate subject matter experts to understand specific state requirements to ensure projects and outcomes are aligned with regulations and requirements of each state.
• Assists in the development of implementation strategies including rollout plans, field training and analysis to ensure desired results are achieved.
• Cultivates strong partnerships and collaboration across the enterprise with initiative owners, field management, field operations and functional leadership to achieve maximum adoption of plan execution.
• Performs other related duties and activities as required.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

May directly supervise project managers and direct members of project teams. Makes decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions. Resolves employee problems within position responsibilities.

Minimum Knowledge and Skills required by the Job
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform the job:

Education and Experience:
• BA degree in business or other related discipline required
• 5-7 years of experience in project development/consulting and/or project management
• Healthcare industry experience
• Project management certification desired, not required
• An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.
• Prior supervisory/management experience strongly preferred.
