Overview
Knowledge Services is hiring for a Tax Services Customer Support role. This person will be required to work on-site in our client's office located on the southwest side of Indianapolis.
- $18 per hour, Monday-Friday
- Anticipated start date is January 27, 2025
- This role requires strong attention to detail, effective customer service skills, and the ability to work extensively with computer systems. State tax law knowledge is not required. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Completes compliance examinations on various Department of Revenue tax returns and State information in ITS, Federal tax returns, and other related systems to assure accuracy of State tax returns
- Provides customer service and assistance to taxpayers by advising, instructing, and furnishing information with respect to taxes collected by the Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR)
- Interprets and applies State and Federal tax laws, rules, regulations and other legal resources in identifying and resolving technical tax problems
- Perform in-house desk examinations for both tax liability/refund analyses
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- High attention to detail
- Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing
- Must have experience with MS Office
