Sr. Manager – CAM Supply and Demand Planning - RCI

 

Summary

 

The Sr. Manager of CAM Supply and Demand Planning will be responsible for providing strategic headcount planning to the CAM Operations team. This role will interface with the Talent Acquisition, CAM Operations, CAM Financials, Crew Management, HRBPs, and Finance to develop the short- and long-term staffing planning for all Marine & Hotel positions for the RCI brand. This includes but is not limited to developing the hiring plan, managing a proper pipeline for promotions, and assessing the rotational needs of crew members for scheduling to ensure proper levels of staffing are available to schedule the operational. The successful candidate will also be responsible for consistently assess changes to the trajectory of the plan, calling out areas of risk while developing the strategy to get back on track.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

 

  • Developing and maintaining the supply and demand forecast for all Hotel job codes for the RCI brand.
  • Manage the hiring forecast to ensure the Talent Acquisition team has both the correct hiring targets and the timing of when those hires are needed.
  • Work with the brands to develop and maintain the desired promotional pipeline of crew members ensuring promotions happen as needed and that any shortages in that pipeline can be covered with hiring.
  • Develop plan with CAM Operations (Scheduling) to manage the on/off rotations of crew members to make staffing demand as efficient as possible by minimizing peaks and valleys in demand.
  • Develop and maintain forecasts for all aspects of the staffing plan, including (but not limited to) rates of attrition, no show, promotion, and schedule cancellations, consistently assessing their variance to plan and the impact those variances have on the operation. 
  • Take ownership of staffing risk to the operation, calling out positions and timeframes where the operation will be unable to achieve minimum staffing levels as well as leading the plan to get staffing back on track.
  • Partner with CAM Finance, brand operations and finance teams to assess adjustments to PAR from an operational perspective to be used for the approval process.
  • Partner with CAM Finance to develop the financial plan associated with the operational plan being targeted.
  • Partner with Crew Management to ensure the accuracy of the headcount supply and ensure that crew members that are unavailable to the operation are being counted on.
  • Develop and manage to KPI’s and SLA’s that assess the efficiency of the staffing plan, identifying which metrics drive the desired outcome and developing a hierarchy of importance when metrics move in opposite directions.

 

Financial Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the team that forecasts and manages annual financial plan.
  • Provide Forecast for crew movements which drive significant costs to the operation.
  • Reports and communicates any budget impact caused by variances in contracts, PAR or travel peaks.
  • Ensuring policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders. 
  • Fostering team engagement and collaboration 
  • Leading, coaching and developing team members. 
  • Attracting and retaining top talent within the function 
  • Managing escalations, including raising to Sr. Leadership when applicable 
  • Managing stakeholders as well as vendor relationships and contracts

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Planning & Logistics, Finance, or directly related, equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with operations, logistics, port administration, airport operations, hotel, transportation in a planning role.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a finance and/or analytical role.
  • Strong data analysis skills; ability to spot both trends and outliers in large datasets 
  • Highly developed written and presentational skills; ability to clearly articulate complex messages to a variety of audiences, including senior management.
  • Ability to plan and organize self and work to achieve objectives and targets; is determined to deliver outcomes and can overcome obstacles to move forward. Accountable for the delivery of outcomes, strives to meet and exceed the expectations of customers.
  • Ability to set measurable goals and objectives and to implement strategies to achieve them (often prioritizing in a high-pressure environment)
