IMEG is hiring a Senior Civil Surveyor in Denver, Colorado. This role provides leadership in the daily operations of survey activities, including construction layout, boundary, topographic, and as built surveys. It also performs production surveying duties while applying diversified knowledge of principles and practices in land surveying related fields under the leadership of a Senior Land Surveyor.
The role also supports calculations, surveying judgment, proposals, scopes of work, schedules, budgets, quality control, and mentoring junior staff while building productive relationships with clients and coworkers. Working with a team focused on municipal and transportation projects, this position helps support Colorado communities through resilient, environmentally responsible infrastructure.

What You'll Do
Perform complex survey work for construction stakeout and boundary, topographic, and as built surveys.
Research historic maps, land records, previous surveys, and land title reports.
Complete boundary reductions, boundary determinations, and mapping and topographic field reductions in CAD and survey software.
Maintain and verify project survey data accuracy and manage the company standards survey database.
Review survey production, final products, processed data collection, and field notes for quality control.
Prepare survey computations, staking and control exhibits, and survey crew instructions for construction staking and field survey projects.
Operate and assist with GPS equipment, total stations, levels, data collectors, and other survey equipment.
Supervise CAD Techs in preparing plans and plats describing the surveys performed.
Build productive working relationships with clients and coworkers.
Prepare proposals, scopes of work, schedules, and budgets, and mentor and assist in training junior staff members.
Operate a company vehicle.
Observe safety and security procedures.
What You'll Bring

Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science (BS) or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required
8 years of experience minimum required, 12 preferred, in the building design consulting or construction industry preferred
