Anticipated Vacancy
What you will do:
This is a highly responsible position with Florida State Hospital (FSH) Financial Services Department which involves performing professional work and assisting Account Services Supervisor with financial functions. This position requires working knowledge and strong understanding of Florida Accounting Information and Resources System (FLAIR), Information Delivery System (IDS), and Excel.
How you will make an impact:
- Prepare and analyze financial reports
- Review MFMP requisitions for accurate account codes
- Track and create invoices for services provided by FSH
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of the methods of data collection.
- Ability to prepare financial statements and reports.
- Ability to design and implement accounting systems.
- Ability to prepare and maintain a variety of accounting records.
- Ability to analyze and interpret accounting data.
- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to an accounting program.
- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A high school diploma or its equivalent
- A least one year of bookkeeping or accounting and professional experience.
- Preference will be given to the Candidates that have extensive knowledge and experience in Excel, FLAIR, and MFMP experience.
