Compensation includes a base salary of $49,200.00 - $73,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

The Market and Customer Researcher I will be a key contributor to help drive meaningful research and insights throughout Cox Automotive. They will be supporting a primary research manager by playing a pivotal role in not only gathering data insights but also translating these insights into actionable findings to align with business goals and drive results. 

Market and Customer Researcher I will be responsible for assisting and supporting management of both quantitative and qualitative projects. Market and Customer Researcher I is responsible for supporting the research project workflow process, resource and vendor management, project intake, and working with the Client Service Team to rationalize against business priorities.

What You’ll Do

Here’s a look at the big asks we have for our next Market and Customer Researcher I: 

  • Help to define, plan, organize, and monitor projects in accordance with business requirements, objectives and priorities.
  • Utilize a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies (online surveys, in-depth interviews, focus groups, etc.).
  • Assist in the creation of request for proposal (RFP), as necessary.
  • Proactively manage change to baseline scope, project timing and cost variables, communicating impacts and facilitating decisions. 
  • Help to deliver defined project output to the Client Service Team on time, within budget and with quality assurance in mind.
  • Work/solve problems of complex scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
  • Provide quality-assurance support to other members of the team as needed.
  • Establish and maintain a tight working partnership with other members of the Research & Market Intelligence Team.
  • Produce and maintain appropriate project documentation for all research initiatives managed by the Research Center of Excellence team.
  • Manage vendor evaluation and management efforts, including but not limited to vendor capabilities assessment, and ongoing vendor review efforts.
  • Proactively stay abreast of the latest research approaches, methodologies and trends (including participation in research industry and Research association events).

Who You Are/ Qualifications

Minimum: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as 4 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Experience in simultaneously managing clients, projects and vendors.
  • Experience using DIY survey tools (i.e., Qualtrics, Survey Monkey, Pollfish, etc.).

Preferred: 

  • Primary research experience with B2B and B2C primary research methods including, but not limited to; Needs-state research, Advertising Research, Brand Positioning & Tracking Research, Naming Research, Conc
