We are offering a Buyer/Planner position.  This position will play a key role in meeting our ambitious aspirations for the future. Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

•    Place purchase orders with suppliers and follow up when necessary to avoid stockouts.
•    Ensure accuracy of purchase order due dates.
•    Promise customer orders based on the availability of material and capacity.
•    Release production orders to manufacturing based on material availability.
•    Provide information to customer service regarding order status.
•    Work with manufacturing to ensure on-time delivery of products.
•    Evaluate, recommend, and implement improvements to lower inventory, reduce stockouts, and to improve on-time delivery.
•    Maintain Master Data information in SAP.
•    Create and/or publish planning reports as required.
•    Complete special projects and assignments as required.

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain & Operations Management or related field
•    APICS certification or commitment to attain
•    Strong desire to learn and to continuously improve skills
•    Analytical and process orientated
•    Strong drive to improve processes
•    Professionalism in all aspects and situations, especially when dealing with customers, suppliers and co-workers.
•    Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
