The Opportunity
The Electrical Engineer Supervisor will work in a senior-level engineer capacity performing all aspects of conventional design engineering and analysis. This professional will work in areas of energy such as hydrogen, ammonia & fertilizer, petroleum refining, gas processing, petrochemical, chemical, LNG and FLNG.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Function as a lead technical design engineer, under the direction and support of a Senior Engineer
- Lead projects and teams
- Develop electrical drawing deliverables including single line diagrams, schematics, interconnection diagrams, equipment layouts
- Interface with clients, vendors and subcontractors
- QA/QC project work and mentor junior engineers
- Explore various technologies within the process space to expand your skillset and knowledge

Although project experience in gas, fuels and chemicals (GFC) is preferred - we are interested and excited to consider candidates with any Power Generation Facility design experience (i.e. LV/MV - Power Plants, Nuclear Plants, Hydrogen Facilities, etc.).
Please note: This role will be hybrid: 2 days per week remote, 3 days per week in-office out of any Black and Veatch office in either Oklahoma, Texas, or our headquarters in Overland Park, KS. We are open to assisting with relocation if you are open to moving to one of our Texas office locations or our headquarters, Overland Park Kansas.

Black & Veatch's Oil, Gas & Chemical Electrical Engineering team provides services from consulting, design, full engineering, procurement & construction (EPC), and commissioning & start-up for LNG facilities, Floating LNG facilities, gas processing & NGL fractionation, gasification & gas to liquids, hydrogen, and ammonia & fertilizers.
