Position Purpose
Clinical or Lab adjunct for Maternal Newborn Nursing
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Facilitate student learning (hands-on and theory) in the clinical or simulation lab setting to help students grow in their knowledge and skills within maternal-newborn nursing.
- Direct supervision of student in the clinical or lab setting.
- Provide timely written feedback on student’s performance and notify the Course Coordinator of any problems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to form positive student relationships.
- Serve as a role model of professional nursing for students and colleagues.
- Maintain professional, legal, and ethical standard for the practice of nursing.
- Unencumbered, active RN licensure.
Experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years work or teaching experience in maternal-newborn nursing including labor and delivery, postpartum, nursery.
Education
- Required: BSN will be considered based on credentials and experience.
- Preferred: MSN
Additional Information
Available for Fall and Spring semesters on site at the main campus in Lebanon, TN or local hospital affiliations.
