Job Summary:

Provides support by producing digital imaging photography services for the New York Laboratory report production, by performing the following duties:

• Photograph gemstones for report production.
Assist in the development of policies and procedures for digital imaging.
Apply strict adherence to all security measures and procedures when handling gems.
Communicates effectively, gets along with coworkers and management, and deals with others
effectively and professionally under pressure.

Perform job with guidance from defined procedures/guidelines; complete tasks through application of
in-depth technical and procedural knowledge of many different varied processes and methods

Key Responsibilities:

Language skills: ability to read, comprehend and follow standard procedures or instruction in local language (proficiency in reading, writing and speaking in English required)
Communication skills: ability to communicate complex info in a simplified and clear manner. Understands and uses communication / email etiquette
Interpersonal skills: ability to create positive interactions with colleagues and team; actively communicates with others in a timely & professional manner; maintains a collaborative working relationship with others to improve performance
Problem Solving: identifies potential problems, articulates / classifies issues and is able to determine next steps; applies sound analytical and reasoning skills during the problem-solving process; analyzes the data gathered and reaches a solution or provides a summary for a management decision when needed

Computer skills: Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Must possess technical photography knowledge and skills.
Understanding of photography composition, visual balance and consistency.
Knowledge and use of image editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Camera Raw and Bridge.
Knowledge of basic lighting principles, lighting manipulation and concepts
