Senior Automation QA Engineer - Contractor

About the role 
We are looking for an experienced Senior Automation QA Engineer who is eager to learn, passionate about quality and technology, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. As part of our automation QA team, you will collaborate with the development team and will be responsible for building, testing, deploying, and executing comprehensive solutions to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality software releases. 
About the team 
Our Quality Engineers are well-versed in the various dimensions of the QA process, including manual, automated, accessibility, performance, and compatibility testing. With in-house automation testing training and multiple knowledge-sharing and upskilling initiatives, our QA experts help create the next generation of software testing professionals. 

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable test automation framework and manual testing processes
• Develop functional and regression automation code from test case requirements
• Triage, diagnose, report, track, and resolve software quality issues
• Ensure the appropriate testing and monitoring tools/ technologies are configured accordingly with the test objectives/ project team requirements
• Identify required improvements in the test and development processes, make contributions to used automation tools, successfully address specific needs
• Communicate effectively across multiple teams to ensure cohesion and collaboration

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in building and executing automated tests
• Experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Java, Python
• Experience with application (UI/ API/ Unit) automation tools, monitoring tools, performance testing tools, and automation technologies like QuerySurge and related to ETL testing 
• Strong experience in database testing, preferably with MSSQL, IBM Db2, MariaDB, or SAP ASE/Sybase DB
• Working knowledge of Git or any other version control system
• Experience with test automation within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar
• Knowledge of API Automation with RestAssured, RAiD REST API, or similar
• Knowledge of test case management using qTest or similar
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Strong desire to learn and improve

A significant advantage would be

• Batch testing experience – Unix or Mainframe
• UI testing experience 
• Experience with LeanFT (automated functional testing)
• Experience with Pytest
• Experience in an Agile development environment
• Experience leading QE teams
