Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Transportation Right of Way Project Manager for the Surface Transportation Department in Ohio.
Qualified applicants will be able to demonstrate an established career in the transportation industry and have a successful track record with the delivery of transportation infrastructure programs, specifically in the process of real estate acquisition. This is an exceptional opportunity to be involved with mega capital infrastructure projects for our clients. The objective of the position is to lead, develop, and execute major projects required to deliver client programs within established and agreed budgets and schedules, thereby expanding AECOM’s reputation as the preferred transportation consultant in the industry. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all Federal and State Regulations having in depth knowledge of the various phases and disciplines of right of way acquisition.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead development and execution of significant transportation projects including roadway, street improvements, complete street, light rail, heavy rail subway, commuter rail, high-speed rail, bus rapid transit, aerial or underground project pursuits, and delivery.
- Oversee District and State DOT Real Estate Acquisition processes.
- Lead and coordinate scope and real estate operations in relation to large Transportation projects.
- Attend and lead internal and external meetings and coordinate work execution with multiple departments.
- Title research and reporting.
- Provide Fair Market Value Estimates (FMVE) when needed, so understanding and communicating appraisals, policies and procedures.
- Establish relationships with ODOT, and other local agencies throughout Ohio.
- Be a visible leader and trusted advisor to clients by promoting AECOM’s values both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated expertise in the area of managing and preparing transportation project teams.
- Proven track record with large client account management, mega-project pursuits, and engineering/planning staff development.
- A desire to work with external contractors/consultants, AECOM’s other divisions/regions and interact directly with major clients.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience leading engineering projects with several years of real estate acquisition management experience.
- Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
- PE license in Ohio.
- Working knowledge of 23 and 49 CFR, the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies of 1970 and its amendments and ODOT's policies regarding right of way acquisition.
- ODOT Right of Way Training Courses, real estate courses, as well as other relevant training.
- Familiarity with ODOT's Real Estate Manual, Section 5100 regarding procedures for title research and reporting.
- Demonstrate leadership skills and communication skills requiring client interaction.
- Ability to work with various multi-disciplined teams is essential to this role.
- Provide in-depth Quality Control and Quality Assurance for design/project management/program management.
