UI Software Engineer (L5) - Observability

The Challenge

Observability engineering provides the platform and suite of products that allows engineers at Netflix to understand how their services are behaving in real-time, detect anomalies in system health, troubleshoot and remediate problems. Our platform processes billions of data points in real-time every minute. The success of our platform and products is crucial to Netflix's success and our ability to operate the Netflix cloud.

What You Will Do

• Build, improve, and optimize UI experiences that make exploring Observability data (metrics, logs, and traces) intuitive to enable efficient troubleshooting of software and infrastructure
• Write code utilizing TypeScript, React, GraphQL, and other modern JavaScript and web development technologies
• Partner with engineering teams, designers, and product managers to define and refine concepts that will enable engineers across Netflix to better observe, understand, and troubleshoot their software
• Collaborate with other Observability and Platform teams to build for long-term leverage and extensibility
• Develop strong relationships with cross-functional teams through clear communication
• Take deep ownership over the problem spaces we’re all here to tackle

Who You Are

• Have experience in designing, building, and operating scalable, user-friendly UIs

The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $100,000 - $700,000.
