Senior Patient Scheduler - Labor and Delivery

The Labor & Delivery Scheduler is accountable for scheduling and coordination of various complex labor and delivery service or procedures, completing state vital statistics birth registry submissions & coordinating surrogate birth legal requirements. The Labor & Delivery Scheduler will use various systems and software to schedule services or procedures, complete vital statistics birth registry submissions and ensure legal document compliance for surrogate births. This position will obtain appropriate patient information which could include current/historical medical information, demographic and other information. This position uses simple and complex medical terminology. This position will ensure superior customer service and service recovery, utilizing good judgment that meets or exceeds the expectations of patients, visitors, physicians and Providence Health System staff.

Required Qualifications:

• 1 year hospital or medical office work experience.
• 1 year customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Business or college courses.
• Experience with Epic.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
