The Diabetes Operating Unit focuses on improving the lives of those within the global diabetes community. Our portfolio of innovative solutions is designed to provide customers greater freedom and better health, helping them achieve better glucose control while spending less time managing their disease.We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Sr Global Equity Manager to lead the administration and governance of our global equity programs, including stock options, restricted stock units (RSUs), performance awards, and the employee stock purchase plan (ESPP). This role is critical in driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance, and delivering an exceptional participant experience across multiple geographies.

As the subject matter expert for global equity, you will partner closely with Legal, Payroll, Tax, HR, and Finance teams, as well as external vendors, to support equity strategy, execution, and communication.

This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversee the day-to-day administration of global equity programs, including grants, vesting, exercises, terminations, and other life cycle events.

  • Manage all equity transactions through the company’s equity management platform (e.g., Shareworks, E*TRADE, Fidelity, Carta).

  • Partner with Legal and Finance to ensure accuracy of equity-related disclosures, compliance filings, and financial reporting (e.g., fair value, expense recognition under ASC 718 / IFRS 2).

  • Ensure accurate and timely updates to participant records, payroll feeds, tax withholding, and country-specific requirements.

  • Maintain compliance with global securities laws, tax regulations, and local labor laws affecting equity programs.

  • Coordinate international filings and reporting obligations, such as 6039 (US), Form 3921, and country-specific regulatory submissions.

  • Support internal audits, external audits, and SOX compliance related to equity compensation.

  • Partner cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, Legal, and Finance to align on equity strategy and operational processes.

  • Provide expert guidance and support to HRBPs and Total Rewards colleagues for equity-related inquiries and escalations.

  • Design and deliver clear, effective equity education materials for employees, including new hire onboarding, ongoing training, and FAQs.

  • Support global employee communications and campaigns related to ESPP launches, grant cycles, or program changes.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance automation, scalability, and accuracy of equity processes.

  • Develop and maintain equity reporting and analytics for HR, Finance, and executive stakeholders.

  • Monitor trends in equity compensation and recommend program enhancements that align with global business objectives and talent strategy.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Nice to Haves:

  • Prefer 6–8+ years of experience managing global equity programs in a public or pre-IPO company environment.

  • CEP (Certified Equity Professional) certification strongly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of global equity compensation practices, taxation, and regulatory requirements.

  • Hands-on experience with equity platforms such as Shar
