About the role

As an Inside Sales Director in McKinney, TX you will be responsible for overseeing and leading all aspects of our inside sales operations. This includes leading a talented team of professionals to drive revenue growth, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring the successful implementation of training programs. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales & Customer Care, you will play a key role in developing and driving strategies to meet and exceed sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE: 

  • Leadership and Management:
    • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Application Engineering, Customer Service and Training teams.
    • Mentor, coach and develop team members to optimize their performance and professional growth.
    • Establish clear goals, objectives, and critical metrics for each team and monitor progress towards achievement.
    • Providing an interface between the sales channel and the company.
  • Strategy and Execution:
    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and expand market penetration and improve inside sales efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for product and service enhancements based on customer feedback and market trends.
    • Analyze sales data and market insights to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans accordingly.
  • Customer Service Excellence:
    • Ensure that the Customer Service team delivers prompt and effective support to customers, addressing inquiries, issues, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
    • Champion a customer-centric approach throughout the organization, emphasizing building and maintaining strong customer relationships and improving collaboration and communication with our Channel Partners.
  • Application Engineering Support:
    • Ensure the Application Engineering team provides superior technical support to Channel Partners and customers, address product-related inquiries, and facilitate the resolution of technical issues.
    • Collaborate with product development teams to ensure that customer feedback is incorporated into product improvements and new product offerings.
  • Training and Development:
    • Oversee the development and delivery of comprehensive training programs for Channel Partner technicians, sales representatives, customer service agents, and other relevant teams.
    • Ensure that training programs are aligned with business objectives and crafted to improve the skills and knowledge of team members.

 FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED: 

  • BS in Engineering or BS with background in technical sales 
  • 10+ years experience in sales environment with progressive levels of responsibility 
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time
  • Experience with leading and developing effective teams
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, customer service principles, and training methodologies
  • Strong leadership, organizational, written, oral and presentation skills
  • Proven interpersonal skills; ability to get things done while working with cross functional teams and at different levels of the organization
  • Self-driven / self-starter, and able to take new insights from conception to implementation
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States
