Junior Varsity Boys Soccer Coach - Stevens High School

JUNIOR VARSITY BOYS SOCCER HEAD COACH � STEVENS HIGH SCHOOL
OVERVIEW

• Under the supervision of the Varsity Head Coach and Athletic Director, the Junior Varsity Coach will work to coordinate the Stevens High School Boys Soccer program
• Develop and establish a high-quality program founded on sound principles, strong team values, and the ethics of hard work, commitment, loyalty, honesty, respect and sportsmanship all within a fun learning atmosphere
• Help to communicate all information regarding the Stevens High School Boys Soccer program to the parents, and community

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

ABILITY TO:

• Work cooperatively with the Head Varsity Coach, administration, staff, parents, community and key stakeholders of SHS Boys Soccer
• Motivate and connect with our student athletes
• Be an integral member of a program that spans grades 6-12
• Work cooperatively with and support all other coaches in serving the needs and interests of all student/athletes
• Combine the reinforcement of basic skills with advanced skills needed for a competitive soccer program
• Communicate with Athletic Trainer to ensure safety and healthiness of student athletes
• Utilize Strength & Conditioning Coach for conditioning of student athetes

KNOWLEDGE OF:

• High School Soccer and the complexities of the game/events
• Current NFHS and NHIAA rules, policies and procedures

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• Commitment to program and helping the growth of student athletes
• Strong work ethic coupled with great leadership
• Ability to provide constructive feedback to student athletes
• Superior organizational skills

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Red Cross First Aid certificate, including CPR training
• NFHS and NHIAA coaching requirements

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• At least three years of successful Middle School and/or High School or Club level experience preferred
• Participation as a Soccer athlete at the high school or collegiate level preferred
