As Section Manager in the ETS Vendor Management Office, you'll take charge of the Finance Management team and play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy and operational excellence.What You'll Do? Drive Success: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team managing critical requisitions for hardware, software, cybersecurity portfolios, telecom, managed service providers, and temporary staffing programs! Own the Numbers: Analyze financial data and partner with ETS Portfolio and Financial Management teams to deliver accurate annual budgeting and forecasting for ConEd and ORUincluding labor, non-labor, and executive presentations! Champion Process Excellence: Ensure seamless execution of financial processes with transparency in cost, schedule, and resource allocation! Collaborate Across the Enterprise: Work closely with ETS and business project managers, ETS leadership, and senior executives to align financial strategies with organizational goals!Why Join Us? Core Responsibilities
  • Lead Finance Management Team Provide direction, coaching, and oversight to ensure team success.
  • Manage Vendor-Related Requisitions Oversee hardware, software, cyber expense portfolio, telecom, managed service providers, and temp staffing programs.
  • Deliver Financial Insights Provide trend analysis and decision support for ETS leadership.
  • Coordinate Forecasting Manage monthly, periodic, and annual projections with business owners (CECONY & ORU).
  • Oversee Financial and Supply Chain Processes Ensure accurate accruals, amortization, authority letters, journal entries, requisition and invoice processes.
  • Manage Relationships Act as liaison between ETS, Supply Chain, and Finance functions.
  • Ensure Compliance Maintain documentation, adhere to corporate financial policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
  • Communicate Performance Report financial results with clear variance explanations.
  • Support Regulatory Activities Assist with Rate Case preparation, tracking, and budget reconciliation.
  • Promote Inclusion & Documentation Foster diversity, maintain accurate records, and interpret complex contract terms effectively.
Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of eight (8) years related full-time work experience or
  • Master's Degree and a minimum of six (6) years related full-time work experience.
Preferred Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of eight (8) years related full-time work experience in directing IT sourcing and procurement strategies, leveraging financial expertise to optimize vendor contracts, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with budgetary controls and corporate governance.
Relevant Work Experience
  • Knowledge of and experience with financial aspects of software contracts, Required
  • Experience managing software licenses, Required
  • Experience working with large scale vendors, Required
  • Supervisory or managerial experience, Required
  • Experience working in an Information Technology organization, Preferred
  • Experience in working with business organizations on business and technology solutions, Preferred

  • The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed
