What we want
The Senior Administrative Coordinator I provides direct administrative support to the Executive Director for Undergraduate Recruitment and Outreach within the Office of Admissions and the senior level staff in Undergraduate Recruitment in Outreach using initiative and independent judgment on administrative duties.
What you need to know
Salary: $45,000.00 - $57,740.80 (Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire's experience)

Position Details: This position requires work hours on some evenings, weekends and holidays and work on and off campus, as needed.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Six years of experience in office administration.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree.
Professional experience in higher education.
Some supervisory experience.
Advanced proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
Ability to plan, prepare and monitor budgets.
Demonstrated knowledge of basic project management and organizational practices.
Familiarity with TAMU processes and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Working knowledge of spreadsheet, presentation, and word processing software programs.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to plan and organize effectively.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage several projects.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Responsibilities
Administrative Support
Provides administrative support for the Executive Director for Undergraduate Recruitment and Outreach including responding to correspondence, prioritizing work responsibilities and duties, managing time and resources, maintaining calendar, assisting with budget expenditures, researching issues, gathering information, drafting correspondence, and providing support for committees, meetings, and special functions.
Program/Project Coordination
Coordinates various programs and projects between the Executive Director for Undergraduate Recruitment & Outreach and other department heads, directors, university officials, professional support staff and multiple external constituencies.
Serves as a resource person when appropriate.
Researches and makes recommendations to the Executive Director on how to be more cost effective and improve efficiency related to current programs and projects.
Assists with special projects for units within Undergraduate Recruitment and Outreach.
Research Coordination
Researches, collects, compiles, and disseminates information for the Executive Director related to Undergraduate Recruitment and Outreach activities, operations, programs, and projects.
Administrative Team Support
Works closely with senior support staff in the Office of Admissions to help support the Executive Director for Undergraduate Recruitment and Outreach staff and others to coordinate issues related to the office.
Serves as a back-up for other leadership administrative staff.
