About the Role

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a Junior Underwriter/Trainee specializing in Casualty Facultative Reinsurance. This position includes mentorship and hands-on training in underwriting casualty risks. In this role, you will:

  • Analyze and evaluate reinsurance submissions to assess risk and determine appropriate terms and conditions.
  • Use data analytics and loss data to guide underwriting decisions and pricing strategies.
  • Enhance underwriting and processing efficiencies with current and future tools and processes.
  • Work closely with primary insurers, brokers, and internal teams to create tailored reinsurance solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes affecting the casualty reinsurance market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and industry partners, offering exceptional service and support.

About the Team

You will join the Casualty Facultative Underwriting Team, a dynamic and high-performing group spread across North America. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse clientele in a channel-neutral environment.

About You

You are a recent graduate with a passion for quantitative fields and collaboration, and you are eager to learn. In addition, you will have:

  • A strong interest in insurance and reinsurance.

  • Experience in reinsurance or underwriting is a plus, but not required.
