Main purpose of the role
Pandora seeks to lead the jewellery industry on sustainability, and become a low-carbon, circular, and inclusive, diverse and fair business. Our public commitments include halving our carbon emissions across the full value chain by 2030, and using only recycled silver and gold by 2025 – a shift we have just completed ahead of plan.
In support of this ambition, the Global Sustainability team is now looking for a Director to join its team in Copenhagen. As Director, Sustainability you will drive a portfolio of cross-company sustainability initiatives and tangible progress towards Pandora’s public sustainability targets. You will also take part in representing Pandora externally on sustainability and help ensure solid positioning of sustainability in employee engagement, public affairs and consumer-facing communication.
Key accountabilities
- Together with the sustainability leadership team, develop strategy, targets and policies on social and environmental topics in support of Pandora’s sustainability strategy and compliance measures (e.g. climate, waste, circularity, responsible sourcing, human rights, etc.).
- Support key functions across Pandora with relevant business and sustainability acumen, as they execute against targets, and build the necessary resources, awareness, and tools for sustainability initiatives.
- Ensure strong governance and performance management of sustainability initiatives across teams and geographies, leveraging local teams where possible.
- Contribute to CSRD-compliant public reporting on sustainability.
- Where required, act as company representative towards NGOs, investors, employees, etc. on sustainability.
- Work with Public Affairs, Communications, HR and Marketing teams to elevate Pandora’s sustainability positioning both internally and externally.
Professional qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience working in or with the private sector on sustainability (in-house or via business engagement or management consulting), including leadership experience.
- Relevant subject matter expertise on topics such as circularity, sustainable packaging, materials innovation, water, biodiversity, living wage, responsible sourcing, human rights, etc.
- Demonstrated success delivering results, with strengths in operationalisation, change management and performance management.
- Experience working with international teams, using a pragmatic, operational approach.
- Educational background in law, sustainability, or other relevant area.
- Fluency in English, in understanding, speaking and writing.

Your new team
The Global Sustainability team is based at Pandora’s Global Office in Copenhagen. You will be reporting to our SVP, Global Communications and Sustainability and work alongside two other Directors managing our sustainability initiatives portfolio and sustainability compliance.
